In 2017, Vincent Tushabomwe applied for a loan of UGX 2.5 million with Police Exodus Sacco with an idea of planting Pine tree in his home town in Rubanda Town Council in Rubanda District.
It was an idea that he transformed into reality as he planted the pine on his 10-acre land. These pine trees will be ready for harvest in two years time. The earnings from it Tushabomwe intends to use it in educating his children at the higher institutions of learning.
“I invested in pine trees as a long-term project and I expect to get a return of over 30 million when I harvest. This shall help me pay fees for my children,” Tushabomwe said.
Quite a number of police officers have hugely benefited from the Exodus Sacco, and Tushabomwe being one of them, appreciates the services offered at the Sacco which he joined way back in 2011.
“The interest rate is friendly, the loan is conveniently accessible since It only takes 2-3 days for the money to reflect on the account enabling one to put into the desired use.
i got a loan last year, i wanted 7 million but since I had no shares to allow me get the full 7 million i was given 5.6, i used that 5 million to start up a simple home which is now at the wall plate, if i had that required percentage my house could be with iron sheets on it thank you exodus ( save for welfare 🤛💪💪)
